Mary Anne wins Aquabike World Championships in 2022

Our athlete Mary Anne Elkington wins the 2022 World Triathlon Age-Group Aquabike Championships Abu Dhabi, in the age group 50-54 years of age. Mary representing Great Britain National Team achieved her long-term goal and dominated her age category. What a great achievement!! Very proud to achieve this result together with Mary after a long-term collaboration and coaching.

Historic 2nd place at the UCI Road World Championships U23 with Mathias Vacek

Our performance coach, Jakub Novak, was fortunate to be part of the Czech Cycling Team in this year’s UCI World Championships in Wollongong, Australia, and witness a historic ride by the Czech Team.

“We got historic 2nd place at the UCI Road World Championships U23 for Czech Cycling Team with Mathias Vacek. What an incredible performance and a great ride by Mathias. Mathias Vacek is now set to join the World Tour Team Trek–Segafredo in 2023 on 3 years contract and we’ll certainly see him very often in the pro peloton.”

Also great result with Pavel Bittner for 6th place!

Our Alex Bogna wins finals of Zwift Academy & signs with Pro Team Alpecin Fenix

Alex Bogna wins a Zwift Academy Finals and scores a professional contract with the UCI Pro Team Alpecin Fenix from 2022.

The Mackay-born ARA Pro Racing Sunshine Coast rider Bogna lined alongside four other Australians vying for the chance to ride as a professional in Europe and won his way through the final selection process, announced via a reality television-style Zwift Academy show over five episodes.

The arduous qualifying process saw 150,000 riders attempt the Academy process, with the final group of five men and five women whittled down from the crowd to compete in the finals in Mallorca, Spain.

“Alex outperformed over the whole week in general,” Kristof de Kegel, performance manager at Alpecin-Fenix, said in the broadcast announcing the winner on GCN. “The first days were still a bit hard to judge because the level of the riders was really close but the last two days Alex really made a difference and if he can make it at the end with all the pressure and all the eyes on you.”

“I have been coaching Alex since 2018, and he has incredible potential. I always knew it was just a matter of time when he gets a chance and shows who he is”, says his performance coach Jakub Novak.
